Reading room

Thanks for all your wonderful advice on using my new camera! I am keen to get out and put it into practice ASAP. Right now I am hauled up feeling sorry for myself trying to get over this cold. Ian and I took these shots last week in one of my favorite bookshops in Glebe: Sappho's. What could be better than a beautiful bookshop than a beautiful bookshop with a cafe!

Outfit details:
Top - Dotti
Scarf - gift from my folks
hat - antique store
skirt - gift from Kerryn

shoes - Naot

On our way out to a party later that evening, we happened upon this little scene:

  1. Hi Bec! I love bookshops, especially when they have cafes.

Sadly, most bookshops are closing around here because too many readers are shifting to e-books and buying paper-books online. Nothing beats browsing a real store, catching the scent of paper, and stumbling upon a great book you didn't know to look for.

Postcards: There's a website called Cafe Press that lets you create your own postcards, greeting cards, t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. You just upload your image/words; they do the printing; and you receive it in the mail. There's a link to their site in my post (the word "here"). I've used CP many times and the quality is good, the prices are low.

  2. I so love bookshops and libraries, when books from the floor and all the way up to the ceiling. Unfortunally, all of those bookshops with cafés has closed, which is extremely boring.

That scene with the cat is so cute also, and I like how it was completly random. :)
