Colour me Camellia

I have always loved it when the Camellias bloom. They look so bold, colourful and strong on their bush, but flutter and disintegrate when you try to pick them. My grandfather had a big Camellia bush in his garden, and I have always associated them with my grandmother, Camilla, who I never met.

I am still trying to beat this stupid cold. It feels like I have had it forever now! This week semester started and I have to be in at work. I figured the only way to feel better was to put on some bright colours and a silly cardigan. My next plan is chicken soup.
 Outfit Details:
Cardi - thrifted (you may remember from last year)
top - Veronika Maine
skirt - thrifted
tights - ?
Shoes - Naot

  1. I really like this outfit and these wintry pictures. Although I know the seasons are opposite, it is still so strange for me seeing these definitely wintry scenes in July. It looks wonderful and crisp and cold!

  3. I don't know what it is exactly, partly the pose and partly the lighting I think, but the third picture looks like it could be straight from an old photo album (if it was a bit faded).

  4. I love how all your outfits look like twinsets straight out the 50s. With the backdrop, definitely remiscent of early co-ed days.

  7. I love how your outfit compliments those beautiful flowers just perfectly! And the building behind you looks like Hogwartz. I love old architecture, especially architecture that is so regal. Yummy to chicken noodle soup. Stay warm! xx

  19. you look beautiful. Love your nature-inspired color combinations. I hope you feel better soon. Have you tried a concoction of green tea, ginger, garlic, lemon & honey? usually works wonders for me.
