Berry lovely

I love these berry-coloured Dahlias. When I worked in the florist I used to greedily hope no one would buy them, so I could take them home with me at the end of the week. I love the way the different shades of reddish-purple seems to buzz.Yesterday I put together an outfit inspired by my flowers - clashing berry tones - for a wander through the markets and coffee with some old friends.

In other (very exciting!) news - last week I became an auntie!! My sister gave birth to a perfect baby boy. He was a couple of weeks early, so I have been racing to get a little knitting project finished and sent off to him. I can't wait to meet him when I head to SF later in the year!

 Outfit Details:
dress - brooklyn flea
cardi - SES
tights - ?
belt - made by me
shoes - Aris Allen

  5. OH! This is so pretty. I love Dahlias. They used to be one of my mom's favorites to put in the garden, so they make me think of my parents' house. It's so awesome that you have so many clothing items that match.

All these springy-type posts are making me so so happy.
